How Melania Antuchas converts at 80% with something she set up in a day

Her first class had eight people, in a late night slot not on the schedule. She built her app alone in a day, and more than 80% of the people who start her free trial go on to pay. Here's her story.

Who She Is

The bodybuilder who placed first, quit the next day, and got her job by text

Melania Antuchas spent four years in weightlifting and strength training, competed in one bodybuilding show, placed first, and left the sport the day after. She did not want the bulking and cutting cycle, so she rebuilt her training around mat Pilates, reformer work, yoga and mobility, and kept lifting.

People who are good at one thing tend to get good at the next one privately, alone, without asking for help. Melania is that person on the record, and she says so.

What she teaches now she calls her signature sculpt style. Her face promises something gentler. She looks, by her own account, super girly. In a room she is the loudest person in it.

“So you see my face and I look super girly. And then it’s like me in a classroom, leading a group of soldiers and so intense and so loud”

The Before

Eight people, a twenty person waitlist, and one room in South Florida

Melania had roughly 150,000 followers on TikTok and nothing to sell them. Her feed then was the classic leg day, five quad routines, a protein shake, chicken and rice. She never showed her personality on camera. Her father kept telling her to talk to it.

The change arrived as one text message from a heated yoga studio in South Florida, asking if she wanted to instruct. She had never considered instructing. She said yes the same day and taught her first class the following week. Eight people, in a late night slot that had never been on the schedule.

She recorded it. She set up the camera herself and recorded every class after it. One clip reached roughly 50 million views, her screaming at the room to stop being weak, everybody in it drenched.

The room filled. Booked a month out. A waitlist twenty deep. She taught twice a week. People drove four hours. People flew to South Florida. And the comments came back to the one thing she had no answer for.

“[People asked] how do I train with you? I was only available in one studio.”

Why Playbook

Playbook asked her first. She said no, then went and found it again herself.

Playbook had approached her months earlier, while she was still competing, and she turned it down. She had no community to bring across yet, and she knew it.

She went back, researched it herself, and set it up without telling anyone. YouTube was the alternative. She rejected it. She wanted her own app and her own community, and YouTube would have given her a video library. Two things decided it. She could build the whole thing the same day, and it was hers.

Her storefront went live on 30 April 2025. Her first paying subscriber arrived less than an hour later. She built the rest alone for months, and the next decision was the one she resisted.

“I remember being so iffy to make the switch from going to myself to going into a team. I have absolutely nothing but the most positive feedback to give and credit to Playbook and the team.”

How She Does It

One mirror selfie, a page of typos, then a catalogue she had not thought of

The first version was one photo of herself in a mirror, one category, and hurried copy. It had typos. She filmed it alone, with her own dumbbells, band and block, 45 minutes in one take, and pushed it out through her Linktree.

That version worked. That is what made the next question hard.

What exists now she did not design. New subscribers land in a collection called Start Here, four workouts deep. She and her Playbook Creator Manager built the rest in weekly meetings, under her brand, The Pulse Effect.

“You guys gave me the idea to do beginner sculpt, get into nutrition, which I don’t even know how I could have actually done myself,” she says.

Her subscription is $34.99 a month or $299 a year, with a 7-day free trial on both plans. More than 45% of her paid subscribers are on the annual plan in August 2026.

The conversion number is the one worth sitting with. More than 80% of the people who have started a free trial with Melania since April 2025 went on to pay. They came for the woman shouting at strangers to stop being weak. What they subscribe to now is mostly things she did not think of.

What’s Building Next

No studio classes, a content studio of her own, and a catalogue still growing

Melania does not teach at a studio any more. She left the schedule entirely and built her own content facility, so she can film when she wants.

The 50 million view clip was hers. The audience was hers. The first version of the app, typos and all, was hers. What Playbook gave Melania was the infrastructure and the team to build the parts she was never going to think of by herself.

The late night class that was never on the schedule held eight people. The catalogue now holds a beginner track she did not write.

“The only word I could say is it’s been insane. And I’m beyond happy to just be where I am right now.”
